We are honored to invite you to a special benefit event, celebrating 15 years of academic and artistic achievements at The Arts and College Preparatory Academy. |
The evening will feature dining, drinks, performances from our most accomplished students, and a special performance by Counterfeit Madison (http://counterfeitmadison.com/).
Founded in 2002, The Arts & College Preparatory Academy (ACPA) was established as an alternative school choice for creative learners who were not benefitting from traditional environments. The founding principles of safety and acceptance for all students, respect for diversity, and simply being nice have been the core driving force in ACPAs success, growth and development over the last 15 years.
ACPA educates approximately 400 students in grades 9 through 12. ACPA students come from over 25 districts in central Ohio, about half living in the Columbus City district. Many students choose to enroll in ACPA because of our rigorous academic and extensive arts programs. Others are seeking a safe school environment and are often victims of bullying or marginalization in their home districts. In a recent student demographic survey, 47% of our students identified as racial minorities and 49% identified as LGBTQ. The ACPA student population is very diverse and it is our mission to serve and include all students as equal members of the school community.
